Assemblyman McDonough Continues Food Drive

Assemblyman David G. McDonough (R,C,I – Merrick) continues his Food Drive through the winter months and beyond.

“Oftentimes, food drives are held to coincide with the holiday season. However, even in the best of times, many families and other members of our community are in dire need of food throughout the year. As we all know, these are not the best of times. I started my food drive late last year in November and will continue it for the foreseeable future,” said Assemblyman McDonough. He continued, “I want to thank all the members of our community who have donated hundreds of pounds of food so far. I am never surprised by the generosity of my constituents. I know we will continue to provide food for those in need through the winter and beyond.”

The Assemblyman is accepting donations of canned goods and other non-perishable food items at his district office, located at 404 Bedford Avenue, Bellmore. This program will be continuing throughout the year. All donations will be delivered to local food pantries in the area for distribution.

“Please join me in helping every member of our community make it through the winter months and beyond,” Assemblyman McDonough said.
