Assemblyman Michael A. Montesano (R,I,C-Glen Head) was recently named by the Business Council of New York State, Inc. as one of the top pro-business legislators in the Capitol. The pro-growth advocacy group noted Montesano’s 2011 support for a property tax cap as well as cost controls on Medicaid in an effort to reduce Albany’s spending and improve the overall business climate in the Empire State.
“It is my honor to have been named a pro-business legislator during the 2011 legislative session,” said Montesano. “With tough economic times facing New York State, I am dedicated to helping bring businesses and long-term, private-sector jobs back to Long Island. I am proud of the work I did during the 2011 legislative session and remain committed to the taxpayers and hard-working Long Island families I represent. I will continue to champion the cause of pro-jobs policies as we seek to turn our recovery into sustained economic prosperity.”
