State Of The State Address Highlights Growth For NY
A statement from Assemblyman Michael A. Montesano (R,I,C-Glen Head)
January 4, 2012
The annual State of the State address by Governor Cuomo marks the official start of the 2012 legislative session. The Governor’s speech worked to extend last year’s accomplishments into the new year. In 2012, we will continue to fight to cut back on wasteful government spending, lift the heavy tax burden on hardworking New Yorkers and bring much-needed unfunded mandate relief to counties so the property tax cap can begin to fully work. It is time we cut the bureaucratic red tape to let everyone know that New York State is open for business and the right place to raise a family. I look forward to a productive 2012 legislative session.
