Barclay to Host 2nd Annual Sportsmen’s Day in Albany

Event advocates for 2nd Amendment rights

Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I,-Pulaski) will join the Assembly Minority Conference in hosting the 2nd annual Sportsmen and Outdoor Recreation Legislative Awareness Day on Tuesday, January 25. The event, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Well of the State Legislative Office Building in Albany, will feature a keynote speech by a high-ranking NRA official.

“Sportsmen’s day gives voters a unique opportunity to meet with like-minded individuals and their representatives to discuss issues that are important to them. It is crucial that voters get to come to the state’s capital and have a chance to advocate for the preservation of their 2nd Amendment rights. The event was extremely successful last year and we are expecting even more attendees this year,” said Barclay.

Organizations that will be at the event include NYSRPA, S.C.O.P.E., New York State 4-H Shooting Sports, New York Houndsmen Conservation Association, Outdoor Writers Association, Safari Club International, Conservation Alliance of New York, National Wild Turkey Federation, Sportsmen’s Association for Firearms Education, Inc., Remington Arms and many more.
