Barclay Angered by Entergy's Repeated Statements of Closure Despite Attempts to Find a Solution to Keep Jobs in County

Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I-Pulaski) today responded to news that Entergy officials repeatedly say they will close, regardless of federal, state and local efforts to prevent a closure

"It is a slap in the face to the residents of Central New York that Entergy has stated that, no matter what, the FitzPatrick Plant will close at the end of 2016. Our community has supported this plant at all times, and we have been working tirelessly to try to come up with a plan to keep it open. To dismiss any proposed solutions leaves the impression that they don't care for the plant's employees, their families, or the Central New York community," said Barclay.
