Assemblyman Palmesano Named To Committees

Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C,I – Corning) was recently named to several committees by Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb.

Palmesano has been named ranking minority member of the Libraries and Education Technology Committee. He also will serve on the following committees: Transportation; Energy; and Corporations, Authorities and Commissions.

“I’m pleased to serve on these committees to which I’ve been assigned,” Palmesano said. “I’ll have the opportunity to play a role in shaping legislation dealing with programs which impact the residents and economic development opportunities both in my district and upstate, including transportation infrastructure, energy availability and resources, the Power for Jobs program, and the public library system.”

“I’m looking forward to addressing the challenges facing the legislature,” he added, “and the background I gain from the committee work will provide me with valuable information to tackle these issues important to us in the Finger Lakes region of the Southern Tier.”
