Assemblyman Bill Reilich (R,C,I-Greece) is reminding constituents today to schedule an appointment for a mammogram as part of the Mammogram Breast Cancer Campaign for Mother’s Day.
"I encourage every woman across the state to schedule a mammogram today," Reilich said. "This is a wonderful opportunity to take care of your own health."
According to Reilich, the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline is reaching out to New Yorkers and asking them to urge their loved ones to get a mammogram as part of its annual statewide Mother’s Day media campaign.
Reilich noted that the hot line, in existence for 25 years, is a project of the Adelphi University School of Social Work on Long Island and is funded by the state Legislature and Health Department.
