Assemblyman Bill Reilich Reacts to Governor’s Resignation
March 12, 2008

“Today is a sad day for the people of this state and I am confident that through the governor’s resignation we can now put this tragic matter behind us and get on with the important business of the state. I am looking forward to working with our new governor, David Paterson, to enact the kind of changes that New Yorkers need, like lowering property, income and gas taxes, in order to make Monroe County a more affordable place to live and run a business.

By delivering real relief to the hardworking men and women of Monroe County, we will go a long way toward restoring the public’s trust in their state government. Today, my thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Spitzer and her three children and I look forward to putting this sad day behind us.”
