Assemblyman Bill Reilich (R,C,I-Greece) has been appointed by Assembly Minority Leader Jim Tedisco to the Budget Subcommittee on Transportation. As part of the Transportation Committee, Assemblyman Reilich will be working to determine state funding amounts for roads, bridges and highways in the state budget.
“The health of New York’s economy depends in large part on the condition of the state’s infrastructure,” remarked Reilich. “Keeping the state’s roads, bridges and highways in top shape makes New York a more attractive place to do business while ensuring the safety of motorists.”
“I would like to thank Assembly Minority Leader Jim Tedisco for appointing me to the Transportation Committee, and I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to deliver a fiscally responsible budget that holds the line on spending and puts New York state back on the right track,” added Reilich.
All joint conference committee hearings are open to the public to improve accountability and transparency in the budget process.
