Assemblyman Bill Reilich (R,C,I-Greece) is launching his 2nd annual ‘Support Our Troops’ drive to provide members of our armed forces serving overseas with care packages filled with needed personal supplies from home. The drive is being launched on Memorial Day and will run through Veterans’ Day.
“Last year, we were able to send out more than a hundred care packages to our brave men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan,” said Reilich. “These care packages are a great way to support our troops and let them know that we have not forgotten about the sacrifices they are making for their country.”
The drive will be collecting personal products to be sent to those serving in the military overseas. A complete list of items needed is available by calling the Assemblyman’s district office at (585) 225-4190. Cash donations are also being accepted to help offset shipping costs. Contributions and donated items should be dropped off at Assemblyman Reilich’s district office located at 2737 West Ridge Road, Rochester 14626.
Assemblyman Reilich is encouraging friends and family members of those serving overseas to contact his district office to provide their mailing address so they can be included in the care package mailing.
“Many schools, boy and girl scout troops and individual citizens that participated last year are once again anxious to express their appreciation and help send along a piece of home to those serving,” said Reilich. “With their support and the support of others, I am confident that this year’s drive will be a highly successful endeavor in supporting America’s troops.”
