Assemblyman Bill Reilich (R,C,I-Greece) has launched his 2nd annual “Support Our Troops” drive on Memorial Day and is pleased with the positive response and amount of inquiries and donations already pouring in. In addition to his district office, located at 2737 West Ridge Road, Rochester 14626, donations are also being accepted at the Ogden Community Center, 269 Ogden Center Road, Spencerport, NY 14559.
“Last year, we were able to send out more than a hundred care packages to our brave men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. I am thankful that Supervisor Gay Lenhard has offered to make the Community Center available as an additional donation collection site,” said Reilich. “These care packages are a great way to support our troops and let them know that we have not forgotten about the sacrifices they are making for their country.”
The drive will be collecting personal products to be sent to those serving in the military overseas. A complete list of items that are needed is available by calling the Assemblyman’s district office at (585) 225-4190. Donations also are being accepted to help offset shipping costs. Auntie Annie’s Pretzel Shop at the Mall at Greece Ridge Center has provided a collection site for donations in addition to the locations listed above.
Assemblyman Reilich is encouraging friends and family members of those serving overseas to contact his district office to provide their mailing address so they can be included in the care package mailing.
