Johns Pleased To See Funding From Regional Economic Development Council
A statement from Assemblyman Mark Johns (R,C-Webster)
August 3, 2012

I am proud to join Gov. Cuomo in announcing a $5 million investment from the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council to the University of Rochester (UR).
These funds will allow UR, our region’s top employer, to work with IBM on an emerging research project that has the potential to create 900 jobs – a substantial investment in technology. This partnership helps to keep UR as a worldwide leader, tackling some of the greatest challenges in medicine and other health sciences.
