Hawley Speaks With GCC Class

Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,I,C-Batavia) recently visited Genesee Community College’s (GCC) Albion campus to speak with a sociology class about a variety of topics, including the importance of voting, entitlement spending and Western New York’s identity. The assemblyman thanked teacher Pam Lusk and all of the students in attendance for making the event so successful.

“Any time you get a chance to talk to civic-minded students like Professor Lusk’s class at GCC’s Albion campus, it’s going to be a gratifying experience,” said Hawley. “The level of participation was phenomenal, and led to thoughtful discussion on vital, intricate issues facing state government and Western New York. Seeing the students so engaged in the hot topics is a reminder of why I got involved in public service, and I thank everyone in attendance for making their voices heard.”
