State Grant to Open Doors at Fire Department
July 1, 2005

Kenmore Trustee Patrick Mang, Assemblyman Schimminger, Fire Chief Felix J. Coniglio, Jr., and Mayor John Beaumont.
Assemblyman Robin Schimminger announced that he has secured special state legislative funding to assist the Village of Kenmore with acquiring and installing energy-efficient overhead bay doors at the Kenmore Fire Hall. Replacement of the current bay doors with energy-saving overhead doors and energy-efficient door openers will help decrease utility and maintenance costs at the fire hall.

The assemblyman presented a symbolic check for the grant amount – $10,800 – to village officials.

Schimminger said, “Replacing the 40-year-old doors is an investment that will save the Fire Department and Village of Kenmore costs over the long haul, and I am pleased that I was able to secure state funding to make it happen.”
