State Health Department Issues Ban on Synthetic Marijuana Sales
March 29, 2012

“Today, the New York State Health Department banned the sale of synthetic marijuana, a product sold as incense and herbal mixtures at convenience stores and smoke shops. These dangerous products can produce severe side effects ranging from paranoia and seizures to nausea and vomiting and have landed many young adults in hospitals and emergency rooms. This ban will ensure that we protect our children from these dangerous products. I also co-sponsor legislation in the Assembly that will completely ban the sale of synthetic marijuana.”
