Giglio To Assembly Leadership: Pass A Budget, Don’t Debate Nonsensical Bills

Statement from Assemblyman Joe Giglio (R,I,C-Gowanda)

Assembly leaders today brought to the floor two bills that would ultimately limit our 2nd Amendment Right and increase the financial burden on firearm manufacturers, businesses, licensed owners and local governments. Instead of passing a budget and delivering much-needed financial relief for public and private schools, essential government services, and the over 800,000 that are out of a job in this state, the majority is turning its back on taxpayers by debating and voting on nonsensical bills that do nothing to improve the fiscal solvency of this state. Albany leaders have disregarded working families and those suffering the most from this crisis, and I condemn their actions and question the ability of these leaders to come to an agreement and bring the state out of this fiscal crisis.
