Good Morning Friends,
As we continue to monitor the inclement weather, I strongly advise all Suffolk County residents to make sure you have the necessary tools and safety kits in your homes in order to weather this storm. It is a good idea to have bottled water, flashlights, batteries, nonperishable food items, a battery powered radio and a first aid kit.
During the storm, I strongly encourage everyone to stay off the roads if possible. If you can, please park all vehicles on your property and off the roads to give our snow plows clear roads to do their work.
In case of an emergency, dial 9-1-1.
For non-emergency concerns, residents can call the Suffolk County Office of Emergency Management at 631-852-4900.
Electric Power outages should be reported to PSEG at 1-800-490-0075.
National Grid Gas Emergencies please call 1-800-490-0045
If you or someone you know is without shelter, please contact our Temporary Housing Assistance Unit at 631-854-9517. After 4:30pm on weekdays, weekends and holidays, call the County's Emergency Services Unit at 631-854-9100.
If you or someone you know is on any life supporting machines that use electric, you should contact your local Emergency Medical Services to inform them in case of power outages.
