On Sunday, July 13, I invite you to join me at the 7th Annual Multiple Musicians against Multiple Myeloma fundraising event to benefit the International Myeloma Foundation.
This innovative event will take place at Tupelo Honey in Sea Cliff. The first of Long Islandís finest musicians will kick off the benefit at noon and the great music will continue throughout the day.
This family friendly day will feature great music, delicious food, raffles, auction items, and face painting but most of all it will serve as a wonderful opportunity to have fun while doing something positive for those suffering with Multiple Myeloma.
According to the International Myeloma Foundation there are 19,900 new cases of Multiple Myeloma each year in the United States. This incurable blood cancer counts for 1% of all types of cancer and 2% of all cancer deaths.
In the past, Multiple Musicians against Multiple Myeloma has raised more than $100,000.00 for the International Myeloma Foundation. The money goes toward improving the lives of patients through research and education.
Truly, Multiple Musicians against Multiple Myeloma is a great tribute to those affected by this horrific disease. I know that its founder Lee Grayson, a wonderful musician, who died only months after he produced the first benefit in 2002, would be proud that his legacy lives on through the dedication and determination of Naomi Margolin.
