Assemblyman Lavine Speaks at the Multiple Musicians Against Multiple Myeloma Benefit
July 17, 2008
Glen Cove – Assemblyman Charles D. Lavine spoke to a large crowd at the Multiple Musicians Against Multiple Myeloma fundraising benefit held outside of Sea Cliff’s Tupelo Honey on Sunday, July 13. Assemblyman Lavine took the opportunity in between inspired performances by some of the region’s finest musicians to thank Naomi Margolin for championing this worthy cause on behalf of her dear friend, event founder Lee Grayson, who lost his battle with Multiple Myeloma six years ago. “Naomi’s steadfast determination to raise money for the International Myeloma Foundation so it can continue to fund education and research has made a very real difference for the better and is an inspiration to all of us,” Lavine said. These wonderful annual events have enabled Multiple Musicians Against Multiple Myeloma to raise well in excess of $100,000 in the fight against this disease.
