Assemblyman Lavine, BID and PBA to Host Food Drive

Glen Cove – Assemblyman Charles Lavine, Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District and Glen Cove PBA are hosting a food drive to benefit Long Island Cares, Inc. – The Harry Chapin Food Bank. Long Island Cares, Inc. – The Harry Chapin Food Bank responds to the immediate needs of Long Islanders suffering from hunger. Presently they provide food and personal needs items to more then 600 community based agencies throughout Long Island including soup kitchens, food pantries, senior centers, day care centers and homeless shelters in our Glen Cove area. Non-perishable foods, such as pasta, cereal, canned vegetables, soups, fruit, pet food and personal needs items like soap, shampoo, deodorant, razors, baby wipes, etc. can be dropped off at Assemblyman Lavine’s district office located at 70 Glen Street, Suite 100 or Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District at 18 Village Square in Glen Cove.
