Recently, Assemblyman Lavine welcomed Nicole Chun, an 11th grade student at Jericho High School, to shadow him through a day of State Assembly business as part of the League of Women Voters’ “Students Inside Albany” program.
Nicole is a member of both the National Honor and Music Honor societies; a contributor to Pegasus, Jericho High School’s literary magazine; captain of the fencing team; third singles on the tennis team and a member of the lacrosse team. Additionally, Nicole plays violin and cello and is a member of the All County and All Long Island orchestras. She plans on studying sociology and public policy in college.
Assemblyman Lavine said, “Nicole is a greatly impressive young woman and I was happy for the opportunity to spend time with her. Our entire community should take pride in this exemplary student and I’m sure we can expect even greater accomplishments from her in the future.
“I would also like to congratulate the League of Women Voters on running this remarkable annual program.”
