Chair, Ethics and Guidance Committee
From the Desk of Assemblyman Charles D. Lavine
December 9, 2010
With the holiday season upon us after an eventful year, we are reminded of the things that we value and are thankful for. I hope that you and your loved ones fully embrace the spirit of the season, relaxing and enjoying the holidays.
We must also not forget the contributions of our brave men and women overseas in Afghanistan and Iraq. During this holiday season, it is important to honor the sacrifices of our soldiers and to keep them in our prayers.
We also must think of those less fortunate than us, to whom our thoughts, prayers and efforts are also deserved and needed. May the season greet them with good tidings and better times in the year ahead.
With the many opportunities and challenges that New York faces in the upcoming year, I look forward to working together with the community to make our great state even stronger.
Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season.
