Assemblyman Lavine Welcomes Mandate Task Force’s Recommendations

March 3, 2011

Glen Cove – Assemblyman Charles Lavine, recently named Assembly Chair of the Administrative Regulation Review Commission welcomes the Mandates Relief Task Force’s recommendations.

“The task force’s recommendations are a step in the right direction in reducing property taxes for Nassau County and the state of New York. As Assembly Chair of the Administrative Regulation Review Commission, I believe that we must further examine the recommendations that have been proposed. It is vital that we reduce unnecessary and arcane mandates that burden our local governments, school districts, and special districts,” stated Lavine.

“New York must also look to reduce unnecessary mandates and remove some of the red tape that we place on small businesses. I look forward to engaging in dialogue with small businesses and to push for regulatory relief that would not endanger our residents.”
