Tague: Ready to See Life Return to Normal

A Statement from Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C,I-Schoharie)

“Today, Gov. Cuomo announced that all state-mandated COVID-19 protocols would come to an end,” said Tague. “For many, it’s about time, as they’re ready to see life return to normal. For many others, there are still looming questions. Why are children still not free of the mask and COVID restrictions according to the state? Why is the state of emergency still in place at all? And why has Gov. Cuomo not relinquished his emergency powers, fully returning normalcy back to the state government? This first step is important, but it seems the legislature has a longer fight ahead. The governor’s self-congratulatory firework show ispremature, premeditated and offensive. There is nothing to celebrate based on how poorly he handled the pandemic in New York.”
