Assemblymen Chris Friend (R – Big Flats) and Phil Palmesano (R, C, I – Corning) would like to encourage area hunters and outdoorsmen to attend the third annual Sportsmen and Outdoor Recreation Legislative Awareness Day, to be held in the Legislative Office Building’s “Well” at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20.
Said Friend and Palmesano, “With the continued encroachment upon the rights of responsible gun owners and outdoor enthusiasts, an event such as the Sportsmen and Outdoor Recreation Legislative Awareness Day is more vital now than ever before. We strongly urge anyone interested in outdoor activities and the preservation of the Second Amendment to join us in Albany on March 20 to stand up for gun owners’ rights and other sportsmen’s issues.”
The Sportsmen and Outdoor Recreation Legislative Awareness Day features numerous vendors and advocates of responsible firearm use from across New York State, including S.C.O.P.E., Remington Arms, the New York State Trappers Association and New York State 4-H Shooting Sports. The event is slated to headline with special guest speaker Wayne LaPierre, Executive Vice President of the NRA.
