Assemblyman Friend To Hold Town Hall Meeting In Waverly

Assemblyman Christopher S. Friend (R,C,I-Big Flats) will hold a town hall meeting at the Waverly Village Hall on Wednesday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend and discuss their concerns with the assemblyman.

“I hope that local residents will come to the meeting to share their thoughts and ideas about how we can make New York a better place for our families,” said Friend. “The State Legislature will reconvene in January, and assisting job creators, cutting government spending, and implementing mandate relief for our local governments will be my top priorities.”

Other legislative priorities for the 2014 Legislative Session include repealing the NY SAFE Act and reform of the proposed Common Core Curriculum, which will otherwise have a profound impact on our students and teachers. The meeting will provide an opportunity for residents of the district to express their opinions and speak directly with Friend about the issues that matter most to them.
