“In Buffalo, where we pride ourselves on our great food, this information is key to helping the community learn more about what is in the food we eat, and how if affects us long-term. Often we look at the causes of childhood obesity and question, why, but the answer is not just a lack of exercise; part of it is what is in the food that we eat. I encourage the community to come and learn more,” stated Assemblywoman Crystal D. Peoples-Stokes.
This event is open to the public and is part one of a series of informational sessions on genetically modified foods and organisms. For more information on this event please contact the district office at 716.897.9714.
