Assemblyman Ra To Co-Host Jobs Fair For Local Residents, Returning Veterans

*** Media Advisory ***Ra will co-host jobs fair with Assemblyman Brian Curran

Assemblyman Ed Ra (21st Assembly District) will co-host a Jobs Fair next Friday, March 16, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Molloy College in Rockville Centre. Ra will co-host the event, which is geared toward matching qualified local residents with businesses, with his colleague Assemblyman Brian Curran. Ra noted that the special focus will be matching local servicemen and women who have recently returned to Long Island after serving our country.

“There are still nearly 800,000 unemployed New Yorkers who have bills to pay and families to feed,” said Ra. “My top priority representing the taxpayers of Long Island has been to bring jobs to our area. This Jobs Fair is an opportunity to match local talent with area businesses and create jobs within our community.

“Along with Assemblyman Curran, I am especially proud to welcome our returning veterans to our Jobs Fair. These brave men and women should be applauded for their sacrifice to our country, and I will work tirelessly to make sure employment opportunities are afforded to them upon their return from duty.”
