Dinowitz Wants Parcel of Land Cleaned Up on Netherland

Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz has asked New York City’s Department of Transportation, Department of Parks & Recreation, and Department of Sanitation to clean up a parcel of land on Netherland Avenue.

In a letter to all three departments Dinowitz stated, “I am writing to you about the condition of a parcel of land on Netherland Avenue, between 256th Street and 259th Street. This parcel of land, on the west side of the street, is strewn with garbage; the trees on the piece of land are overgrown. The condition of the land creates a health hazard, and detracts from the quality of life of Bronx residents.”

Dinowitz said, “Netherland Gardens and Skyview Apartments are well-kept and clean but this parcel of land nearby is filled with tires, bottles, rusted car parts and miscellaneous junk really that detracts from the beauty of the community. If the area is not cleaned up, it will only encourage others to litter the area.”
