Dinowitz Announces New Staff - Teresa Colon

Will staff Norwood satellite office at Mosholu Montefiore Community Center

Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz is pleased to announce the hiring of Teresa Colon in his District Office. Mrs. Colon will also staff the assemblyman’s satellite office in Norwood at Mosholu Montefiore Community Center. The satellite office is open every Thursday from 9am to 1pm.

Mrs. Colon brings to the district office an impressive resume of work experience. Her work experience spans over 20 years as a legal/ administrative assistant in real estate management and real estate law. She is well qualified to handle constituent issues pertaining to housing. As important, she brings skills developed during her years of working in management of dealing with bureaucracy and cutting through red tape.

Her range of experience and skills are already evident in her brief time with Assemblyman Dinowitz. Working at the satellite office at Mosholu, she has gotten to know many constituents and helped many, especially seniors with issues such as: applying for the Prescription Drug program, EPIC, and the Department for the Aging program, SCRIE. Teri was also able to get a landlord to do a required apartment paint job; she has helped seniors apply for their discounted Metrocard and apply for a handicap parking permit. She has assisted constituents in filling out rent stabilization lease renewals, file complaints of consumer fraud with New York State Attorney Generals Office, and apply for non-drivers ID cards, to name a few.
