Assemblyman Dinowitz Receives A+ from Environmental Advocates

Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz again achieved a perfect score on the 2005 Environmental Advocates legislation board for voting correctly on all 46 environment-related bills. Assemblyman Dinowitz adds this accomplishment to his long streak of perfect voting records during regular Assembly legislation sessions.

Assemblyman Dinowitz said, “I am proud of my voting record on legislation pertaining to the environment. Given the urban surroundings of the Bronx that we all share, I feel it’s imperative that we retain a vigilant and proactive attitude toward protecting our fragile environment. It displeases me to see that the New York State Senate could not follow the Assembly’s lead in passing more environmental reform, especially the five “Super Bills,” which would have lead to substantial protection initiatives. Still, several important bills were passed, such as the “Mercury in Vaccines” bill which monitors the amount of mercury administered in vaccines to children and pregnant women. I was pleased to be a part of such important legislation.”
