Assemblyman John McGowan (R,C-Rockland) has been appointed to the Health Committee for the New York State Assembly for this legislative session. McGowan also serves on the Children and Families, Education, People with Disabilities, Small Business, and Transportation committees. The Health Committee is dedicated to advocating for support for New Yorkers, Medicare, mental health, healthcare professionals and the health care system.

“It is an honor to be appointed to the Health Committee for this legislative session. As a new member of the Assembly, I want to ensure the needs and concerns of New Yorkers are met while making our great state a better place for everyone to live in. Our healthcare system is my top priority and being appointed to the committee will allow for my direct participation and discussion on new legislation prior to reaching the Assembly Floor for debate,” said McGowan. “As always, I look forward to representing the constituents of Rockland County and residents of New York.”
