Statement from Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski Regarding Congestion Pricing Plan

The MTA’s proposed congestion pricing plan again demonstrates a failure to consider the hardships that will be created for Rocklanders, who, despite paying the metropolitan commuter transportation mobility tax, see little benefit. With already limited public transportation options, west of Hudson commuters will be among the most impacted by these congestion charges. The lack of a discount for those utilizing northern Hudson crossings, will result in better benefits to drivers from New Jersey and Pennsylvania, while leaving New Yorkers behind. Since this proposal was first voted on in 2010, I have been staunchly opposed to it due to the continued lack of consideration for commuters from our community. I will continue to fight against the implementation of this plan in its current state.
