“This new express bus stop is something that everyone can get excited about. It’s a simple solution to a problem that had been inconveniencing local residents for too long,” Benedetto said. “I began discussing this stop as soon as the MTA assumed responsibility for the express bus routes. Seeing it finally happen makes it all worthwhile.”
This new bus service will provide a convenient and safe ride directly to and from Harlem. Assemblyman Benedetto has been an advocate for the Bronx since being elected. He has loyally traveled throughout his district, setting up mobile offices in an effort to hear the concerns of his constituents, including the need for express bus stops in Harlem. Benedetto was determined to resolve the problem.
The drop-off location for the new bus stop will bring BxM7 and BxM9 commuters to Second Avenue at 122nd Street. To return to the Bronx, the bus stop pick-up will be at Third Avenue at 120th Street. For schedules and fare information please visit the MTA website at www.mta.info.
“The new express bus stop will make commutes easier and far more convenient,” Benedetto said. “I am committed to improving the quality of life for the families that I represent and this new addition does just that.”
