Norris On the Assembly Majority’s One-House Budget Proposal

A Statement from Assemblyman Mike Norris (R,C-Lockport)

“The Assembly Majority has proposed adding $13 billion on top of Governor Hochul’s $233 billion budget—and included in that are $3.5 billion in new taxes. I am adamantly opposed. People continue to leave New York and move to other states with friendlier tax climates where they can get more for their hard-earned dollar. But instead of helping to make New York state more affordable, one-party rule in Albany continues to ‘tax-and-spend’ New York’s hard-working citizens right out of state. I’m voting no and will continue fighting to protect the taxpayers of our state.”
