Assemblymember Wallace Appointed Chair of Assembly Subcommittee on Volunteer Emergency Services
Assemblymember Monica Wallace (D-Lancaster) announced she is the newly appointed chair of the Assembly Subcommittee on Volunteer Emergency Services and looks forward to the opportunity to work with and get results for volunteer emergency service providers and local governments.
“From EMS personnel to firefighters, we’re lucky to have so many in our community who volunteer their time and even risk their lives to help their neighbors,” Wallace said. “Volunteer emergency service providers are a vital part of our communities, and I’ll work to support them as they keep us safe.”
The Assembly Subcommittee on Volunteer Emergency Services is under the umbrella of the Assembly Committee on Local Governments, on which Wallace also serves. Wallace will use this opportunity to strengthen the invaluable work that volunteer emergency service providers are doing, ensure they have the resources they need and tackle the issues they face so they can continue serving communities in Western New York and throughout New York State.
