Ramos Secures Funding for Community Center in Central Islip

Assemblyman Phil Ramos (D-Central Islip) secured $750,000 in the state budget for the Long Island Center for Community Empowerment of Central Islip to construct a community center. The 33,000 square foot center in Central Islip will be built by the Urban League of Long Island and will be used to promote business growth in Central Islip and the surrounding communities. The center will provide incubator services for entrepreneurs and help develop minority-owned businesses.
