Pheffer Amato Announces 2019 Legislative Intern

Albany, New York Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) today announced that her Albany Legislative Office was assigned a NYS Assembly 2019 Session Intern. Bailey McGillian, a Dobbs Ferry native, and senior at the University at Albany majoring in Psychology and Communication will be working out of the office from January until the end of Session in June.

Formerly, McGillian, interned for the National Society of Leadership and Success, and was an assistant teacher for a day care in Dobbs Ferry. McGillian is currently is helping with bill research, drafting of memos and event coordinating Albany scheduling within the Pheffer Amato’s Office. McGillian has aspirations to attend law school in the near future, and has a strong interest in family law. 

“The Assembly Internship program is amazing and teaches our students such valuable life lessons,” said Pheffer Amato. “Bailey has jumped right in to work, and has learned so much in her few short weeks. I cannot wait to see her succeed in all of her future endeavors!”
