Pheffer Amato Honors the Rockaway Beach Broadcasting Company (RBBC) as ‘Small Business of the Month’

Rockaway Beach, Queens- Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D, Rockaway) this week presented the Rockaway Beach Broadcasting Company (RBBC) with a NYS Assembly Citation honoring them as her 2019 January Small Business of the Month. RBBC launched on August 1st, 2018 and was founded by Bryan Doremus, Matt Preis (AKA Max Power), Caitlin Moss, and Frisco Granda. RBBC has a mission to promote everything local; musicians and artists of all kinds, small businesses, events around town, and anything else that contributes to our community in a positive way.

“RBBC understands the value of maintaining and promoting local artists, they often hold live performances in their Rockaway Beach recording studio. RBBC is a vehicle for exporting the cultural and artistic talent in the Rockaway Peninsula to areas outside of it, providing people a glimpse into what make us so special,” said Pheffer Amato. “Each artist, small business, or organization that RBBC promotes our thriving culture, and we’re grateful that this outlet exists, and are proud to have RBBC in our community!”

“We at RBBC are so honored to have been chosen for this month’s small business award. We’ve always been motivated by promoting positivity in our community through the arts and events that we promote and share, and to receive recognition for that means a lot to us and will drive us to continue to grow,” said Frisco Granda, RBBC Radio. “Thank you, from all of us at RBBC!”
