Pheffer Amato Meets with DOE Chancellor Carranza

Manhattan, New York -  This past week, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) met with the New York City Department of Education (DOE) Chancellor Richard Carranza to discuss many educational concerns facing her district specifically the new policies facing non-public schools and the roll-out of the “Bronx Plan” which includes several Far Rockaway schools. “NYC schools need to be more equitable across the board. I’m hopeful about our children’s futures, and I look forward to working with the Chancellor to bring schools and communities closer together,” Pheffer Amato said.
