Pheffer Amato Throws First Pitch at American Softball Grand Opening

Ozone Park, Queens On Saturday, May 18th, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Ozone Park) threw the first pitch at the American Softball for the Challenged and Handicapped Grand Opening, at the Vito Locascio Field, in Ozone Park, Queens. American Softball serves men and women with developmental disabilities, from age 15 to age 72. Pheffer Amato has been a huge supporter of American Softball since taking office and has attended many games.

“Everyone is clearly having the time of their lives. It was such an honor to be with community members who are making the most out of life, for themselves and others,” Pheffer Amato said. “This is a great, heartwarming program, and it gives opportunities to folks who wouldn’t normally have them. If you haven’t been following American Softball, you should!”
