Pheffer Amato Attends Queens County St. Patrick’s Day Parade Dinner Dance

Rockaway, New York Last weekend, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Rockaway Beach) attended the 45th Annual Queens County St. Patrick’s Day Parade Marshall Installation Dinner Dance. The event celebrates standout Irish Americans who will lead the yearly Queens County St. Patrick’s Day Parade,

“I am so proud of all the honorees who are leading the next Queens County St. Patrick’s Day Parade,” Pheffer Amato said. “They were all chosen because they represent significant contributions Irish Americans make to our borough’s culture, and that cannot be celebrated enough! I am also honored that a member of my team, Irene Connolly Dougherty was chosen to be a Ladies AOH Woman of the Year. Irene has always been an outstanding citizen and ambassador for Irish culture – the daughter of two first generation Irish immigrants, her story is the embodiment of the American Dream, and I’m proud to have her on my team.”

Amongst the other Deputy Grand Marshalls were Mark Healy, Editor of The Wave; Father Richard Ahlemeyer, St. Camillus Clergy; John Brennan of the United State Coast Guard; Tommy Quinn of the New York State Court Officers; Terri Coyle of St. John’s Episcopal Hospital; Joe Mure of the Little North Pole in Belle Harbor; and many others. The parade, held on March 7th, starts at 1pm and congregates on Beach 129th Street and Newport Avenue. Leading the parade this year is Gerard Fitzgerald, President of the Uniformed Firefighters Association.
