Carrie Woerner Sworn Into the State Assembly
Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner (D-Round Lake) announced that her swearing-in ceremony took place at the New York State Assembly on Monday, Dec. 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the Capitol in Albany. She was recently elected to represent the 113th Assembly District, which covers Saratoga and Washington counties.
“I’m incredibly honored to serve as an advocate in Albany for the best interests of the people of Saratoga and Washington counties,” said Assemblywoman Woerner. “Our communities have some of the hardest working people anywhere in the state, and along with the unique characteristics of our region, make it ready for new economic development opportunities. I look forward to working with the state legislature and the governor to make sure we get the funding and attention we deserve to help create new jobs here, grow our local economy and make smart investments in our future.”
Assemblywoman Woerner is a businesswoman with nearly 30 years of experience in the private sector. She has worked in the high-tech industry for companies like IBM and Perot Systems Corp., and currently serves as the vice president of MeetMax Conference Software for the Wall Street Transcript. Woerner has also served as the executive director for the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation, and served as a member of the Village of Round Lake Board of Trustees, where she worked to reduce spending and preserve open space.
