Assemblywoman Woerner Receives Her Committee Assignments
Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner (D-Round Lake) announced that she received her Assembly committee assignments for 2015. Woerner’s assignments include: Agriculture; Local Governments; Racing and Wagering; Small Business; and Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development.
“Our region is home to farms and innovative high-tech businesses, as well as the historic Saratoga Race Course,” said Woerner. “These committee assignments will allow me to be involved in policymaking decisions that have a direct impact on our community.”
As a longtime advocate for the arts, local tourism and small-business growth, Assemblywoman Woerner is well prepared to serve on these committees. Woerner previously served as a Round Lake Village Trustee and the Executive Director of the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation, and she is currently the Vice President and General Manager of a local software company. Assemblywoman Woerner’s background and unique skillset will allow her to be the voice that Saratoga and Washington County families and businesses need in Albany.
