“The quick deliberation in the Schoharie limo case is further proof that the twenty lives lost in this needless tragedy could have, and should have, been better protected. I would like to thank Schoharie County District Attorney Susan Mallery and her office for their work on this case, the law enforcement who investigated this terrible crime and the emergency responders who showed up that horrific day at the Apple Barrel for everything they did to try to mitigate the injuries and lives lost. My heart will always ache for the families who lost their loved ones that day, but their deaths have not been in vain as I have worked hard to improve our state’s laws to ensure a tragedy of this magnitude will not happen again.”
