Assemblyman Tague Ranked #1 Most Effective Minority Member in New York State Legislature
Center for Effective Lawmaking names Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C-Schoharie) most effective Minority Assembly Member
Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C-Schoharie) has been named the most effective Minority state legislator in New York, according to the latest Legislative Effectiveness Scores released today by the nonpartisan Center for Effective Lawmaking (CEL). The independent analysis ranked Tague number one among all Assembly Minority members for the 246th Legislative Session (2023-2024), based on fifteen objective metrics that measure bill sponsorship, advancement through committees, passage and ultimate enactment into law.
“I am deeply honored to be recognized as not only the most effective Minority member in the Assembly, but in the state Legislature as a whole,” said Tague. “This ranking belongs to the farmers, families, small-business owners and first responders across the 102nd District who trust me to fight for them every day in Albany. Being in the Minority means getting real results, requires building relationships and finding common ground.
“We can never give up on the issues that matter most to upstate New York; lower taxes, affordability, stronger farms, safer communities and restoring common sense. I’m grateful to my colleagues on both sides of the aisle who worked with me to turn good ideas into signed laws, and I promise to keep earning this trust in the session ahead.”
