Cuomo Sides with Assembly Minority’s: College for Gold Star Children

Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C,I,Ref-Schoharie) recently came out in support of a bill granting tuition assistance for SUNY or CUNY students who are family members of a deceased service man or woman who died in the line of duty. Gov. Cuomo, in a statement, also came out in support of the legislation, saying he would sign the bill into law.

“I’m very pleased to see Gov. Cuomo come out in support of this bill,” Tague said. “When he sees the members of his own party spitting on the memory of fallen veterans by refusing to allocate funding for their children to go to college but providing that funding to illegal aliens, you know something is wrong in Albany. These families deserve our support; they lost a loved one in the line of duty protecting our way of life and our freedoms. I applaud Cuomo for coming to the right side of the issue for once.”
