Tague Honors Fallen Firefighters

Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C,I,Ref-Schoharie) recently gave his respects to 23 fallen firefighters at the 22nd annual New York State Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ceremony, which is held every year at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. The ceremony is a look back on the daring and heroism of both volunteer and paid firefighters from all across the state and takes specific time to honor and give remembrance to those who fell courageously in the line of duty.

“I can barely put into words how important this ceremony is,” Tague said. “The sacrifices and daring of our firefighters are of the highest caliber. We use this time to bring due honor and praise to the peerless call to duty, supreme will, and above all compassion, for their fellow human beings that our firefighters exhibit. We owe you all a debt that can never be fully repaid. Our thanks cannot be sufficient, but thank you. We will never forget your courage and your sacrifices.”
