Tague Declaims Green Light Bill

Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C,I,Ref-Schoharie) is once again voicing his opposition to the Green Light Bill from last session which granted illegal aliens the ability to obtain New York drivers’ licenses. The federal government has come into conflict with the Cuomo Administration once again and has revoked all New Yorker’s access to Trusted Traveler Programs. This comes on the heels of Gov. Cuomo’s attempts to limit ICE and other federal agencies’ activities within the state. Other federal programs that New Yorkers are being blocked from due to the governor’s policies are Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI and FAST.

“It’s another sad day in New York when the governor sides with illegal immigrants over the residents and taxpayers of the state,” Tague said. “Getting into a spitting match on Twitter with the President does not serve the people of this state. Nor does it help draw a line in the sand when it comes to giving benefits to illegal immigrants over the rights and expectations of the public to have the government look out for their best interest. It’s just another day when Cuomo shows his hand, he’s not here for New York.”
