Tague Appalled at Majority’s Line in The Sand on Bail Reform

A statement by Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C,I,Ref-Schoharie) on bail reform dominating public protection discussion.

“Frankly, it’s sickening the backpedaling and filibustering from the Majority politicians in the Public Protection Hearing today. They spent an entire day deflecting and ramrodding valid public safety concerns to protect their ideologically driven, and disastrous, bail reform changes. People are being hurt, some killed. Families are being torn apart and innocents are losing their peace of mind. This has gone on long enough. We should have spent the day debating on the floor to add amendments or full on repeal bail reform, not engage in political showmanship.”
